Self publishing is a viable alternative for writers of poetry and prose. Whether you write non fiction and develop textbooks or all types of fiction, you can look into Smashwords, Amazon or any one of a number of other self publishing options. Self publishing may be a good option for making your work available to a broad market.

If you want to avoid the cost of having your book published the traditional way, you could think about taking the plunge into publishing yourself. Self publishing has become fairly popular among writers. However, it involves a lot of work. If you aren't comfortable with handling marketing or promotion yourself, you may need to get help with that aspect of publishing.

What Does Your Daily Writing Schedule Look Like?

Your daily writing schedule may look completely different from what you may ideally want it to be. However, that doesn't mean that you can't get a lot done each day. If you work full time and have a family, finding time to write can be difficult. Some people study full time and work part time. Others have their time dedicated to other responsibilities.

If you want to write, you may have to develop a schedule that is built around your other responsibilities. However, putting off writing completely may not be an option you want to consider. If writing is something you enjoy doing, you owe it to yourself to put time in your schedule for it, even if it's less time than you would want.
